RE: The Fault in Our Stars
musehunt: I am now almost 100% certain that An Imperial Affliction is not a real book. JOHN GREEN, YOU TEASE. But I am absolutely 100% certain that the phrase itself comes from Emily Dickinson: There’s a certain slant of light, On winter afternoons, That oppresses, like the weight Of cathedral tunes. Heavenly hurt it gives us; We can find no scar, But internal difference Where the meanings are....

stolensheep asked: Enthralled by the epigraph for The Fault in Our Stars, I went on a hunt for An Imperial Affliction. A fruitless hunt, I might add. Any suggestions for where I could get it? Unless you're pulling an F. Scott Fitzgerald and An Imperial Affliction isn't real. But I kind of hope it is.

Kind of Important News
If you scroll past all the Hollywood names in this YouTube blog post, you’ll see down the vlogbrothers down there at the bottom. But we’re above the Wall Street Journal! Take that, Murdoch! Oh. It’s…yeah, it’s alphabetical. I see. So Hank and I are finally realizing our dreams of being able to produce the kind of educational videos (think the French Revolution...

I saw a guy wearing a Pizza John t-shirt on campus...
iamgreenbean: I should have said hello or something, but I got all shy, and so just stared/smiled at him like a weirdo.  He had lots of ginger hair and a beard. And a TSWGO bracelet.  It is my opinion that the two of you should get married. HEY, GINGER BEARD! EMAIL THIS GIRL!

In Defense of The Fault in Our Stars
karenkavett: With all the recent discussion over book covers lately, since John Green released the cover of his new book The Fault in our Stars as well announced as the contest for nerdfighters to design the new cover for An Abundance of Katherines, I thought I’d share my thoughts on the whole ordeal. Disclaimer disclaimer, I am not a professional book cover designer nor a published author....

Why I like this cover
absolumentmoderne: Hi folks, I thought I’d take a minute to let you know why I think the cover design for John’s new book The Fault in our Stars is brilliant. I am almost as dismayed by the negative responses to the cover as I was impressed by the amazingly wonderful designs submitted by many of you earlier this year. While I respect that aesthetic judgments are highly subjective, there are...
