Q:Will you be making a video pertaining to the recent shooting tragedy? It is such a senseless event, and I know a lot of us are deeply bothered by it. For better or for worse, we look to you for guidance, and I think hearing your thoughts on the matter would help some of us make sense of it.

I probably won’t make a video about it. We don’t usually talk about news stories except for ones we feel like are insufficiently covered by news outlets.

The shootings in Aurora are being widely reported and it seems to me covered very effectively.

Like everyone, I’m saddened and horrified by this. All I’ll say is that I’m personally trying to pay more attention to the victims than to their murderer. I certainly will not be mentioning the murderer. I don’t think he warrants our attention—particularly since he so clearly wanted it.
