I don’t think I ever said I was opposed to shipping.

Shipping is the lifeblood of the global economy. (I mean, more than 90% of international trade involves actual ships, but “shipping” also refers to ground and air transport.) Without shipping, almost nothing we eat or drink or otherwise use would be available.

I know there are many arguments for and against globalization, but it’s impossible for me to imagine that human life would improve if we eliminated shipping entirely.
