My Oscar Picks
Every year, I look forward to watching the Oscars with my mentors from Booklist, Bill Ott (who has guided my view on most things) and Ilene Cooper (who made it possible for me to write, revise, and publish Looking for Alaska).
I can’t be there this year, because pregnancy, but I’m still participating in the annual Oscar pool.
This is not necessarily who I think SHOULD win; it’s who I think will win. (I hedged my bets a little in the production design stuff just to try to minimize any losses there. I’m an extremely conservative gambler. But five US dollars is on the line here, and I don’t take that lightly.)
